Jack Duncan Cup
In 1929, some friendly rivalry was introduced to the membership of Ye Cronies in the form of a “Golf Outing” with the honour of the newly unveiled “Jack Duncan” Cup up for grabs.
Named in honour of the recently retired President John F. Duncan, the Jack Duncan tournament became a mainstay on the Cronies calendar for the next 10 years.
The outbreak of World War II put a halt on proceedings, and the competition would not make a return until 1966 where the cup made a triumphant return and was competed for the next 50 years. A participants in 2016 resulted in a second sabattical for the tournament with hopes of a revival in the near future.
